Costa Palmas is a 1000-acre community that houses a Four Seasons Resort & Residences and Aman Resort & Residences. The project scope included strategy, storyline, brand identity and marketing materials for the project. The name ‘Costa Palmas’ dictated the concept for the identity—translated as Palm Coast. The style of the identity was to be refined luxury, equaling that of its exclusive hotel residents. An identity was created with a soft, light feel, featuring well defined layouts, to maintain the necessary sophistication. The icon and pattern are the elements of interest and ensure continuity across all applications.
The Costa Palmas brochure was produced with a blind emboss of the pattern to the cover, copper foiled logo and threaded saddle sewn binding, to acheive an elemental luxury feel.
The brand pattern can be translated in a number of different finishes as seen for the greeting card.
Extensive brand guidelines were devised to ensure high quality application of this brand. As well as establishing rules for the Costa Palmas brand itself we also needed to consider how other proposed resorts and potential future resorts might live with the branding of this community.
Other applications include a residences brochure (Four Seasons Residences) and individual floorplans.
The website design required well thought-out information architecture to present the detailed level of content. The site has evolved as the community takes shape; starting, in its infant stages, as a concept to being realised as a resort.
